So it seems we made it
thru a milder than usual winter. And to
think, you had your furnace tuned up just waiting for an extended cold snap.
What happens now? Do we just click off another year on the
life-span of your furnace, or did you gain a little extra credit by not using
it quite so much?
Turns out, if your hvac system is
on a regular maintenance program, you did both.
First, you win because you had
your system tuned up and ready for use.
The more attention you pay to the upkeep of your heating and cooling
system the better off in the long run that system will be, and the longer it
will last.
And B, you win because your
system didn't run as much meaning there was less wear and tear on the system
itself. It's kinda like parking your car
in the garage. If you don't use it as
much, but keep it maintained, it will last longer.
So we benefitted from an unlikely
win-win.
